I’ve been quietly going undercover into Beijing’s real dating scene — joining matchmaking WeChat groups (相亲群), visiting Dating Corners (相亲角) in public parks, and attending offline events.
I observe the real things most people never see: the strict requirements, parental pressure, funny moments, awkward conversations, and hidden rules of modern Chinese dating.
This kind of reporting is expensive and time-consuming for me (event fees, park entrance fees, long bus rides from Yanjiao, food costs, plus the need to stay invisible so I don’t get kicked out).
Because the cost is quite high for each mission, I’ve decided to offer this as a Custom Reservation Service using PayPal only.
How the Custom Reservation Service Works
You tell me what kind of undercover report you want to see.
For example:
- A detailed report from a specific type of dating event
- Observations from a particular matchmaking WeChat group
- Focus on certain criteria (height, income, house, car, age, etc.)
- Comparison between different parks or events
I review your request, tell you the estimated cost and what I can deliver, and if we both agree, you reserve by paying via PayPal.
Then I go out, do the undercover work safely, and deliver the full, unfiltered report directly to you.
This way, the reporting only happens when there is real demand and the costs are covered upfront.
